QUESTION POSED ON: 22 February 2007 I am new to the SAP SD module. I have created a sales area for my organization and tried to create an order through this organization. When I am creating my order, I am getting an error that "Ship to party is not defined for this Sales org". What could be the reason?

You need to create a customer master for the customer for whom you are trying to create a sales order. In the partner functions of the Customer master, please make sure that you have the customer marked as a ship-to party, bill-to etc.
This will ensure that the customer serves all the partner functions. You should be able to create a customer order against this customer.
