QUESTION POSED ON: 13 November 2006 What is your view on implementing HR structural authorizations? My company currently uses ESS and MSS and they are in a dilemma on whether to implement structural authorizations or not because of its complexity.

EXPERT RESPONSE
HR structural authorizations are the most effective way to limit access to objects in the organization structure organizationally. They can also be integrated with Personnel Administration to limit a user's access to specific employee records in PA. Complexity is relative. I have seen organizations that achieved all their objectives with one (dynamic) structural authorization.
