I can't find much info about SMARTEDI. Can this be used in XI instead of SEEBURGER?

EXPERT RESPONSE
SMARTEDI is a pure ABAP solution. It does what the SEEBURGER EDI does and it does not need XI at all. Check out http://smartedi.de for more info.
