What is SAP's strategy and product offerings regarding business intelligence (BI)?

EXPERT RESPONSE
SAP's approach is to provide complete and timely information for an enterprise with the help of a powerful BI platform. The platform being used for this is SAP NetWeaver -- an open integration and application development platform which contains a set of tools, planning and simulation capabilities and also data-warehousing functionality.
