QUESTION POSED ON: 09 December 2004 I am an MBA (Sales & Marketing) graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy. I have been working for an MNC Logistic company for the past six months. I have an interest in the fields of logistics and international trade and marketing. Please advise, which modules in SAP would be appropriate for me to undertake?

Your degree would imply a career in SD and CRM, but your experience and interest lies in the logistics side of SAP. There are a number of modules and areas that play to your strengths. For example, perhaps the emerging SAP RFID area would be a hot field for you to pursue. However, since you are recently out of school, I think you need to be open to the best opportunities that come your way - even if they involve skills you weren't expecting to use. Don't be too rigid about your short-term skills goals. Take the most challenging project that comes your way, and seek training in other areas to supplement your hands-on skills. Over time, a good direction will emerge, and you have the opportunity to make adjustments along the way and "steer your career" towards the most compelling areas.
