What parameter is used to extend the maximum number of GUI sessions in a
4.6C environment?

The parameter is "rdisp/max_alt_modes" and its default value is 6 sessions.
The minimum is 2 and the maximum is 16.
Use transaction RZ11 to get additional information about the parameters and
use RZ10 to implement the parameters.
