Does "Saved View" retrieve data from BW at run-time?

EXPERT RESPONSE
Using the "Save View Global" retrieves stored data from BW at run-time. The layout or navigational state is stored and so is the data as a snapshot of when you saved the view. For instance if I save a Global View on the first day of October, and re-open it in 2 weeks, the numbers are based on what was in the database on October 1st.
