QUESTION POSED ON: 01 June 2001
I am currently creating a Security Strategy for my client. I want create a 'role map' of all functions across several modules. Is there or tool or utility available which will help me to do this in conjunction with the profile generator.

The client is at release 4.0B moving to 4.6x. Ideally, I would like to create my role indices in Excel have them matched to R/3 somehow. I know such a tool exits for 4.6x as I have downloaded it but it doesn't work at 4.0B...

Can you help ?

You're right. The tool does not work for 4.0b because 4.0x did not have activity groups or roles. R/3 4.0x can only handle user profiles. I recommend you download the "Authorizations Made Easy 4.0b" guidebook at: http://wwwtech.saplabs.com/authorizations/default.asp
