I have six and a half years of manufacturing experience; two years in the Automobile industry (discrete manufacturing)...
and four years in color picture tube industry (process/discrete manufacturing). I've worked in the following functions: Production, projects, manufacturing engineering and quality assurance. I want to become a SAP functional consultant. I wish to know which module should I go for? Will PP module be good for me?
You're doing the right kind of thinking - trying to map your current experience into the appropriate areas within SAP. I agree that your skills are falling into the functional manufacturing side of SAP, which means the MM and PP modules. Obviously, if you can move into the supply chain management side of SAP, including APO, you'll be moving in the same direction as SAP, and that's always a good thing. Good luck!
