Q

Why JCo instead of ABAP?

I would like to know why we should use a JCo whereas we can program in ABAP OO and integrate this technology in the BSP Pages? Is there a technical reason that I am missing or is this done to attract more programmers to the SAP environment ?
Of course you can write great applications, including Web applications, in ABAP. As far as I can remember, I never told anybody to switch from ABAP to Java (nor vice versa). JCo is just for those people who prefer Java to ABAP.
