What is the difference between an SAP system clone and a system copy?
A system clone is the copying of a system in which the system name remains the same. This is often used to create an isolated copy of production on which a release upgrade is attempted, for example. A system copy is the copying of a system in which the system name is changed. This procedure is used to refresh the quality assurance system with productive data, for example.
