What happens to JCo calls to a busy Java application?

How does the JCO handle calls from SAP to Java if the Java application is busy (ie. processing another response?)

Even if multiple threads are created for listeners, I'm guessing this could occur sometimes?


The client (R/3) waits a certain amount of time (I believe 10 seconds) for a server thread to become available, then an exception is raised in the ABAP code. There is nothing JCo can do about this. You just have to start enough threads...
