I have been following your answers, they are so convincing, thanks. I am right now learning SAP HR (SAP technical), what are the most important skills/tasks required to be successful in this field or on this job? Should I first get proficient with ABAP or is it data upload or the writing "USER EXITS" skills which are important? Please comment. I am eagerly waiting for this reply.

The most important thing is to know and understand how HR works. If you are unaware of the
business rules then your use will always be limited regardless of the programming skill. The second
thing is an understanding of the data dictionary setup for HR. Everything in HR is date-driven and
for the most part this is a departure from the rest of SAP. Technical skills are important and
required, but those can generally be picked up a lot easier. I'd spend time learning how to use
logical databases first if I was interested in HR.
