Q

Unstable SAPWebConsole

We have implemented WMS (Warehouse Management) and we use RF connection by putting a SAPWebConsole in an IIS window server. But lately, the SAPWebConsole is not stable, and we keep getting the error message:

"faulting application dllhost.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module ntdl.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x0003426d"

OSS, it seems, could not resolve the problem. Should we continue to pursue on the SAPWebConsole or move to Mobile Infrastructure, which seems to be more complex -- and does it work with Warehouse Management? Can we utilize the SAP RF trans for WMS using MI?

The problem indicates that some other software has been installed on the box where the SAPWebConsole runs. Therefore, you have a Windows problem, not a problem with the console, and not a problem with SAP. I suggest that you re-install Windows on the box where the SAP console runs. I do not suggest changing to Mobile Infrastructure -- that will only solve your problem as a side effect if you install it on a completely new installation.

Another hint: If your console cannot have its own box, install Microsoft Virtual PC (or VMWare) and install the console on a clean Windows 2000 Server installation within the virtual machine http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc.
