Trouble connecting to SAP with JCo 2.0

I have a problem with forming a connection with the SAP system. I am using JCo 2.0 to connect to the SAP system and I am getting the following exception. We are using the right login and password when we connect with the SAP client.

com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect from SAP gateway to RFC server failed Connect_PM GWHOST=10.22.0.121, GWSERV=sapgw00, ASHOST=10.22.0.121, SYSNR=00

LOCATION SAP-Gateway on host FA10 ERROR connection to host 10.22.0.121, service sapgw00 timed out

I am new to JCo, is there a possible reason for this?

These kinds of problems are difficult to solve without all the information. It would help if I could see the actual source code with which you try to connect. Maybe the following does help nevertheless:

1. Make sure that you can connect to the SAP system using SAPGUI.
2. Take a look at my sample programs supplied with the JCo tutorial. Are you using the same kind of approach in specifying the connection parameters?
