Should I learn HR through books or experience?

I would like to find a book which gives full guidance on IMG -- every box, radio button, how to use it, which circumstance to use for TOTAL HR modules, etc. Notes provided in the IMG are insufficient and most of the functions are not explained. We have to learn by experience and by making experiments. Is there a book that provides detailed information?

Unfortunately, there is no such book. There is literally no substitute for actual experience and you are on the right track about how to learn the module. Everybody you'll ever meet who is any good learned this way.
