Q

Running Oracle DB with Unix on RAW devices or file systems

Is it better to run Oracle DB with UNIX on RAW devices or file systems? What are the advantages of one versus the other?
Raw devices generally have better performance potential, while file systems tend to be easier to manage. OSS note 145654 "Installing SAP Systems on UNIX/Oracle with raw devices" talks in more detail about this topic.
