R3PRODHIER, R3PRODTYP, and R3PRODCLASS
I have worked with Material Master in R/3. I have come across the following three terms: R3PRODHIER, R3PRODTYP, and R3PRODCLASS
Could you please tell me the use of these in CRM and why exactly we need them?
Categories and hierarchies are used to group together products and individual objects according to business criteria. In addition, R3PRODHIER is a CRM Base hierarchy that maps the R/3 Product hierarchy into CRM Product hierarchy. R3PRODSTYP is a CRM Base hierarchy that is used to map SAP R/3 material types (HAWA, DIEN etc) and R3MATCLASS or R3PRODCLASS is a CRM Base hierarchy to map the SAP R/3 Material groups.
The base hierarchy for Material/Service is R3PRODSTYP
The base hierarchy for Purchase and sales are R3MATCLASS AND R3PRODHIER. The above hierarchies are downloaded from R/3 or ERP systems into SAP CRM as part of the customizing data.
