I have a user who sends print jobs to HPLJ8000. SAP status during this time is "waiting" but the job can take as long as 10 mins before it actions/prints. However, when the user switches the printer OFF/ON the print completes immediately. Any thoughts on how to identify this problem?
First, before the users switches the printer OFF/ON, check to see if the printer is in some sort of sleeping mode. Then, double check your connections; are you accessing the printer directly, or via SAPLPD? Also, check which driver you are using. It's worthwhile to try switching to a different driver that's also compatible to the HPLJ8000.
