What are the prerequisites for SAP BI training? I have a J2EE background and I want to move to BI. I have heard SAP BI is the latest and greatest in business warehousing. I have also heard people say it's techno-functional (whatever that means). Will my J2EE background be of any use here?
Knowledge of basic data warehousing is one of the prerequisites for BI/BW training. A programming background will be helpful if your goal is to be a BW developer; but being a developer and just having only technical knowledge will not be enough to have a good career in SAP.
In the beginning, gathering experience and knowledge in the technical side is good enough, but to be at an expert level you need to gain knowledge and experience in business areas.
