Soon I will have an SAP BI interview. How should I prepare for it?

Let me start by saying that a common mistake made by SAP BW newbies is only learning answers to specific questions. Thus, even sitting in on an interview may not help you much.

Furthermore, let's say you do get past the interview process through very specific preparation. How will you then perform at the job? The answer: not very well.

What you need to do is understand the fundamentals of data warehousing, extraction tools, reporting tools and the BI architecture. Then focus on the business applications, since you will need advanced knowledge of them.

For those of you out there who have already taken these steps, get certified before trying to find a job in SAP BI.
