Currently, we rely on the SM37. Are you familiar with batch job monitoring? And are you aware of a SAP standard tool to perform such monitoring? If there is no tool available, which I haven't seen or heard from any one here, we will need to create a new program for this. This will report any failure, using a print out and e-mail to an internet address from any ABAP.

The idea is to create a monitoring program for batch jobs failures which finds any failure of batch jobs and produces an output, this can be a plain report and/or e-mail with the Job Name, User and Date and Time Stamp.

All the *ALE* batch jobs need to be monitored also.

As far as I am aware, you'll have to write the program yourself. When you've done so, please submit it as a tip so we can all share the knowledge! I'd ask the Basis expert, Giovanni Davila if he knows of any such tools:
