SAP BW is a data warehousing product which can be used to integrate data from all the systems spread across the enterprise. In addition to data extraction and storage functionalities, BW comes along with the tools for reporting such as BEx, which is integrated with Excel, Web Application Designer and tools for report scheduling. BW has the capability of storing multiple terabytes of data and provide reporting functionalities which can be used to get timely information. There are many more functionalities BW provides which I won't be able to provide all of them here. Please take a look at documentation provided at various SAP websites like http://service.sap.com, http://sdn.sap.com and http://help.sap.com.
