Is there a procedure to restore workbench object history during a homogenous system copy?

Describes where to find the procedure to restore workbench object history during a homogenous system copy. SearchSAP.com's OS/DB migration expert advises a user on this process.

We perform an annual homogenous system copy from our production to development system. Is there a product or procedure available to save or restore the workbench object history in development? I've heard such a process exists and am looking for further information. Our production database size is ~900GB.
Yes there is. It is explained in OSS NOTE 130906: How can versions be transported. You basically need to export the tables containing version management on the development system, overwrite development with production and re-import them. There are some very important prerequisites, so you should read the OSS NOTE carefully.
