Is it possible to scan an SAP e-mail attachment for a virus/worm?

Is it possible to scan an SAP e-mail attachment for a virus/worm before it goes to the recipient to prevent spread of computer virus? We are currently on 4.5B. We have Windows 98 on SAPGui client.

Actually, this is something that should be done at the client level. The SAPGUI client PC should have an antivirus that scans incoming and outgoing files. On the other hand, your e-mail server should be protected with antivirus software so that messages are not sent out unless they are virus free.
