Is it feasible to evaluate BW on a Windows/Oracle environment?

We are in the process of implementing BW within our organization. We have already piloted it on a UNIX system. But now, we want to evaluate it by installing it on a Windows/Oracle environment and connecting it to our existing R/3 instance on a UNIX environment. Is this a feasible, reliable and scalable idea?

This is definitely feasible, and is supposed to be reliable and scalable too. SAP provides a tool called DB Connect that is designed to integrate disparate databases into the BW environment, and it should readily support your requirements.
