How to transfer table data from the development server to the production server

Transfering table data can be complex. Expert Matt Billingham details how to create a transport to do just that.

How can we transfer table data from the developement server to the production server directly? I have data in the...

development server in a 'Z' table and I want to copy that data into production. It is a cross-client table.

Create an object list entry in a transport, using SE10, of the form R3TR TABU Ztablename. This transports the content of the table. You need to enter a table key of * to pick up all records. Release the transport and import it to your production server.
