Go into the IMG and follow the steps laid out under Basic Settings. EX for US payroll periods: Payroll->Payroll:USA->Basic Settings->Payroll Organization. One tip I have for you is to start the payroll periods before the actual start date of the system. It is much easier to match your current payroll calendar that way. You may have to generate them a couple of times to get the right answer but overall it is not bad.
