How long will it take for Oracle's aquisition of Siebel to affect the job market in SAP CRM?

Expert analysis of the SAP CRM job market based on Oracle's aquisition of Siebel in 2005.

As we all know, Oracle recently bought Siebel. What effect do you think this will have on the SAP CRM market? Lately there are not many projects with SAP CRM, which worries me, being a CRM consultant.
I am not an expert on mergers and acquistions, but I will try to answer your question. Oracle is going to take some time to integrate the Siebel product into the Oracle Suite. This could take anywhere from six months to two years, and until then I am not expecting the market share numbers to change drastically. I believe SAP is going to take advantage during this integration time period to consolidate and increase SAP CRM market share.
