Q

How do you 'push' data out from SAP?

How do you 'push' data out from SAP? We are trying to get BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETLIST to send data to a server program...

to test the server functionality of JCO. We want to use this process to push data out of SAP after it is changed in the system (rather than polling for changes from a JCO client). We register the server and call the BAPI (in SE59) with the header-target set to the program ID of the JCO (JCO). This process requests company codes from the external program, not what we wanted to achieve. How do we run a BAPI (or modify the BAPI) so that the results are sent to a different logical system to the originating one to interpret the result tables?)

The easiest way to propagate changes from SAP to other systems is to use ALE. You need to define the subscriber and what it wants to subscribe to in the ALE Distribution Model. See the ALE online docs for details.
