Q

Homogeneous system copy

This is a system copy scenario.

Source System: Windows 2003 Server 32-bit, ORACLE 9, SAP 40B, SAP Kernel 40B-COM Intel Pentium based Server 32-bit...

processor Target System: Windows 2003 Server 64-bit in a Itanium 2 based Server.

Can I run 32-bit SAP system in this server with Itanium 2 processor? Is this a homogeneous system copy?

It is a homogeneous system copy from a database point of view. SAP release 4.0B is, however, not supported on 64-bit Itanium. As an alternative, you could run your database on 64-bit while keeping SAP on the 32-bit server. After your upgrade to 4.7 Enterprise or above, you can move it to the Itanium.
