FI/CO personnel can have many roles. They will be involved in your SAP system with the Finance and Controlling business processes. Finance includes business processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, while controlling covers areas such as cost centres & objects. They may be business people who will define processes, create and execute test scripts, manage the FI/CO masterdata and security. They could be configurers who will work within the SAP IMG to ensure the FI/CO modules function according to desired business processes. They may also be ABAPpers who develop code in the FI/CO business areas. This was first published in May 2003
