Q

Failed transport fixes in BW

This response advises what to do when a transport fails in SAP BW.

In general, if BW transports fail after importing into the test system, would you create a subsequent transport to fix the error and then import both transports into the PRD system, or would you delete the failed transport from the transport buffer and only import the subsequent "fixed" transport into the PRD system?
Depends on the error message. If the import can be restarted, I would restart the import. If not, I would, as you suggested, create a subsequent transport to fix the error and get rid of the faulty transport.
