Hannah Smalltree, Editorial DirectorWhenever we talk about licensing and SAP it's a gamble. It's very much dependent on the relationship between your organization and SAP. However from past experience, customers have had to license the new dimension products based on the solution instead of an additional user license pertaining to the original R/3 license.
Some organizations have had the mySAP.com license -- which provided them a license to a host of solutions under that umbrella. I believe this has now transformed into the mySAP business suite.
I think your best option is to get in touch with your SAP account executive to gain a better perspective on the licensing.
