Error while implementing a support package in SAP EBP 3.0

Hi Bert,

While implementing the support package 06 (BBPCRM, SAPKU30006) in the SAP EBP system 3.0, we get the following...

error message:

"Maximum process holdtime exceeded"

When the error occurs, the SAPGUI gets disconnected from the system and a new login is required. The error occurs while generating new runtime objects (second step) after the support package has been imported (first step).

As a general recommendation, you should always execute support package installations in the background in order to avoid these type of problems.

When you start the installation, one of the first option screens that appears allows you to change the installation type to "background installation."
