Do clients implement both IC Winclient and IC Webclient simultaneously?

I have a question regarding the interaction center component of SAP CRM. For the IC, do the clients implement both Winclient and Webclient or just one? Could you please explain with supporting reasons?

It makes sense to implement IC Webclient or IC Winclient based on the business requirements. IC Webclient and IC Winclient are two different technologies of call center user interface.
