Do I have to use IPC to create a sales quotation in mySAP CRM?

We want to create a sales quotation -- even a description would do -- in CRM that will accept any material and capture the quantity, value and tax.

Do we have to switch on IPC for this? Currently IPC is switched off in our system, but the net value and other fields below the pricing tab are grayed out. Is it possible to make this editable without the complications of IPC?

The simplest solution would be to remove the conditions set type from the product category. Otherwise, you could disable interprocess communication (IPC) entirely. However, this is a Basis task. Please contact your system administrator.
