Disabling the SAPLogon system tray icon

Is there a way to disable the SAPLogon system tray icon? Sometimes it stays in the tray even when I close all SAP windows and log out of all sessions. I find it annoying that it stays running when I am not using SAP.

I don't know what version of SAPGUI you have but you can shut down SAPLogon in 6.10 and 6.20:
Right-mouse click on the system tray icon and select "Shutdown SAPLogon". If you are running any version lower than SAPGUI 6.20 I recommend you upgrade. On the other hand, if you don't want to use SAPLogon you can do one of the following:
1. Create SAP shortcuts for your SAP sessions.
2. Log on to your SAP systems directly with SAPGUI.exe (bypass SAPLogon).
To do this, you need to run: SAPGUI hostname instance_number
Example: SAPGUI myprd 00
This logs you on to the "myprd" system, instance 00.
3. Use "LogonX" a free product from Basis Technologies that allows you to quickly launch SAP sessions.
You can download it at:
