Creating an RFC connection
If I am transferring the data from SAP to non SAP thru ALE, how do I create RFC connection? Do I need to create port and partner profiles explicitly? Please explain the scenario.

Yes, you create ports, profiles and logical destination (table TBDLS). The external RFC app. appears to R/3 like another R/3 system. That is the basic idea behind it.
