Creating a new structure in the rows pane

I am trying to calculate a price difference period to period. I am doing this by part number. For any particular report I can have up to 5000 rows of information of price differences. I also have a field that summarizes all the rows for the total price impact.

For ease of reporting, is there a way to only show one row, with the total impact of the summary to the 5000 rows? In reality, I only want to be able to drill down on the 5000 rows when I need to, but want the overall result to represent the calculation of the rows. I hope this is clear.

Create a new structure in the rows pane which takes advantage of the 'hierarchical' design option, so all 5000 rows are hidden beneath an expandable summary line which you can calculate to show the overall result from the individual rows.
