Creating a Composite Role in Workplace

Creating a Composite Role in Workplace

With regards to WorkPlace, CUA and multiple component systems... Is it possible to create a Composite Role in Workplace that contains single roles from different target systems? Can these single roles be named the same yet have different target systems?

Absolutely, the simple roles will still point back to their respective target systems. The composite WP role would simply supply the menu structure users would utilize to perform their jobs.

Unfortunately, single roles can not have the same AG name if pointing to different target systems (I'm not fond of that either). WP has to associate a RFC target with each single role back to the target system, and in current design would be unable to associate two target systems to the same role. SAP indicates that roles on the WP should have a target system identifier in the naming convention (best practice).
