Counting items in the SAPScript form window

From time to time I have problems counting the number of items handled in the main SAPScript form window in SAP. I've tried various logics but had to finally modify the print program, calling the form, to do things based on the number of items handled/passed/output/printed e.g. triggering a page-break after a certain number of items. Can you please suggest a way to handle this in the form itself without the need to modify the print-program?

Not everything can be done from the form. For many companies, modifying a copy of a print program is their usual way of working. Sometimes you just have to do it to achieve the desired result.
