Configuring to backflush- consume components from consignment stock

When manufacturing final products (finished goods), the components are consumed from unrestricted stock. We want to backflush but consume the components (raw materials) from consignment stock. I can't figure out where to configure this. Please assist.

It is not clear from the question regarding where the consignment material is currently posted. (For instance the consignment stock may be posted to Blocked Stock).

Transfer the Consignment stock to the unrestricted stock for system to permit use of consignment stock until the unrestricted stock is replenished. It is very important to mention in the question the release of R/3 system in which the stock is maintained.

Hence the answer to the above question is general in nature. For transferring the consignment material to another stock type Go to Inventory Management select Goods Movement -> Transfer Posting -> Enter Plant and Storage location -> choose movement type -> Transfer Posting -> Consignment -> Stock Type (Unrestricted) -> Press Enter -> Enter Vendor, Material, Quantity and post the document.
