I've worked as a SAP technical consultant for 6 years (most ABAP, IDOC, RFC/BAPI and some BASIS). I got 2 offers recently: one is the project lead in a SAP off-shore outsourcing global development center (I'm Chinese and it's located in China); the other is the internal BW consultant in an Asian implementation team of an international enterprise. Which offer is better for my future career? Thanks!

Both of those offers sound intriguing to me. It's hard to say what the right decision is without knowing more about each offer and your career goals. Obviously, learning about outsourcing would give you inside knowledge on a global trend that is not going away. But getting BW exposure is also promising. It sounds to me like the tie-breaker in your situation might be lifestyle. If you choose the BW consulting offer, it's possible you may have to travel more, and commit yourself to becoming a traveling SAP consultant from project to project. The outsourcing opportunity might allow you to keep your travel to a minimum. I can tell you this much: your best choice is the job that will challenge you the most and give you the most interesting SAP skills. Even if that job pays less in the short term, you should take it, as it's the challenging job that will lead you to the best possible career path in the long run.
