Can I change the InfoProvider that a query uses?

Can I change the InfoProvider that a query uses?

Is it possible to change the cube used by a BW query? We have a number of identical cubes representing a quarter's history data. Rather than build a unique BW query for each quarter, I would like to build one query and change the cube it points to.

Good question -- but as of BW 3.0B you are not able to change the InfoProvider that a query uses. Fortunately for you, your solution only requires making four query definitions in the Query Designer. I've seen companies who do this sort of thing by month, and I'm sure there is someone out there that does it by week! Just for fun you could always time your drag and drop skills and see how quickly you can build the subsequent queries!
