Assigning limited password reset-authority

I need to delegate the resetting of password to an individual but don't want this individual to have any rights on SU01 but to unlock user and reset password. Is there a way to do this? I'm on release 4.6C.

Yes, the user admin authorization objects allow for extensive delegation capabilities. You will need to give a user SU01 with authorization object S_USER_GRP with the values for the appropriate user group and '06' to unlock. That should do the trick.
