Are there dynamic internal tables in ABAP?

The answer is no, says expert Matt Billingham, but other means exist for achieving similar purposes.

I want to know if there are any dynamic internal tables in ABAP.
Not directly no, but there a number of techniques for getting the same functionality, using field symbols, or by using dynamically created ABAP – see GENERATE SUBROUTINE POOL to see how this can be done.
