The SAP book ABAP Objects: ABAP Programming in SAP NetWeaver (SAP Press) comes with a web application server. Unfortunately, it does not contain a lot of example data, as does IDES.

There are some companies that offer IDES access via the Internet. A Google search should allow you to find them. They offer access to IDES systems, according to SAP release and functionality, via monthly or quarterly subscriptions.
