SAP applications demo: BP's key mapping

In this screencast of a composite application shown at TechEd, BP demonstrates a key mapping services using NetWeaver.

BP's composite application helps the company's Refining and Marketing business translate system-specific keys, such as customer number, from the over 150 interfaces it has for integrating business data.

The front-end was made with Visual Composer, while the back-end utilizes SAP NetWeaver XI and was created by using custom Java and ABAP to enhance SAP's Unified Key Mapping Service (UKMS).

This demonstration by Dan Smith of BP shows how the composite application translates keys between systems. More information is available in Smith's blog on SDN.
